  • SCHVPT Ford Model B Saloon

    1932 Ford Model B Saloon

This popular 4 door Ford was assembled in this country but retained its
american styling of the period. It is fitted with a 22hp four cyclinder side
valve engine. This car was bequeathed to the trust by the late Ron Dibley.

  • SCHVPT Austin Ice Cream Van

    1932 Austin Ice Cream Van

This van was purchased at an auction in Bristol, after spending all its working
life in the Tunbridge Wells area. It was converted by a local coach builder
from an Austin Heavy 12/4 car, retaining the cars radiator, bonnet and wings
and also as discovered during restoration, the car doors. These have inside the
marks left by the original window winding mechanism which have been removed and
about 12 inches added to the tops of the doors, to fit the new bodywork. It has
    restored to its original livery.

  • SCHVPT Shelvoke & Drewry Freighter Dustcart

1934 Shelvoke & Drewry Freighter Dustcart

Group, by Epsom & Ewell District Council in 1965 on its retirement from
refuse collection. The vehicle is also a film star as it starred in the "
Dads Army " film and is now in the Dads Army Collection in Bressingham,
    Norfolk.

  • SCHVPT Austin 10 Saloon

    1946 Austin 10 Saloon

This vehicle was donated to the trust by a member and is affectionately know as
" Doris " The Austin 10 was in production for a number of years with
    many alterations in body styles.

  • SCHVPT David Brown Taskmaster Tractor & Trailer

1954 David Brown Taskmaster Tractor & Malt Trailer

The David Brown " Taskmaster " haulage tractor was derived from units
built for the services during the second world war. Based on the farm tractor,
the road haulage version has road going tyres, drum brakes, electric lighting
and to give its extra weight for towing trailers, very heavy wings, the wings
are half an inch thick and made of solid steel. The coachbuilt cab on this
example is not standard but was fitted by the original users. This vehicle was
one of a pair built for the Reading Brewery and used to tow trailers of malt
from the Maltings to the brew house along about 1/2 mile of road and was in use
until 1980. The tractor and trailer were renovated by Courage Ltd in the livery
of the original users, this being Simmonds Brewery and presented to the trust
    in 1981.
